Job Title: Personal Development Coordinator


Location: School


Reports to: Headteacher/Assistant Headteacher


Purpose of the Role:

The Personal Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing the school's personal development program. This includes overseeing the delivery of the school's SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural) education, ensuring that it meets the needs of all pupils and supports their overall development.


Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement a comprehensive personal development program for the school, incorporating SMSC education and other related initiatives.


Plan, organise and facilitate SMSC activities and events, such as assemblies, workshops, and student council meetings, to support the personal development of pupils.


Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure that the school's personal development program is aligned with the needs and goals of pupils.


Develop and maintain partnerships with local organisations, such as charities and community groups, to provide additional support and opportunities for pupils' personal development.


Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the school's personal development program, using data and feedback to make informed decisions about future initiatives.


Provide professional development opportunities for teachers and support staff, to ensure that they are equipped to deliver high-quality SMSC education in their classrooms.


Promote a positive school culture that supports and encourages personal development, working with pupils, staff, and other stakeholders to create a supportive and inclusive environment.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field


Experience in personal development education and/or program coordination


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders


Strong organisational and project management skills


Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education and personal development.
